ACL's A-Series main bearings are constructed from a proprietary composition of aluminum, tin, and silicon with a steel backing. This gives these bearings outstanding wear resistance, and load-carrying capabilities. Bimetal (aluminum) bearings are installed as OEM standard parts in todays engines, and ACL's construction and composition give these bearings an advantage over other OEM replacements.
